Crannk reviews Daybreak “Godfather”Ep

Daybreak are a metal/metal core band hailing out of Perth, Western Australia and today marks the release of their new three track Ep “Godfather“.

This is a young band with a big future this EP “Godfather” follows on from their successful previous Ep “Death Dreams” which was a real hard heavy metal core album. The “Godfather” Ep shows a growth and maturity to Daybreak further refining their sound and this feels like it has a more hard core influence to it and not as much metal core.

Therapy” is the first track on “Godfather” and from the get go you can hear that Daybreak are going for a different sound and feel to the last Ep with a lot more of them Hardcore feels to it.

Bad Boy” is a killa track starts with a nice guitar intro then hits heavy and hard with a great vocal delivery, this would have to be my favourite track on the Ep with some awesome lyrics “Bad Boy Hasn’t anybody told you what doesn’t kill you doesn’t break you” “Bad Boys In A Body Bag

The last song and the Ep’s namesake “Godfather” is a ripper of a track and feels the most metal core track on the Ep. This Ep has well and truly marked “Daybreak” on the Aussie Heavy scene with an Ep that shows they have developed musically leaving behind the total anger of their youth and showing a more focused Daybreak set on spreading their wings and showing the world what they can do.

Daybreak are also on tour around Australia with their Godfather Tour and still have quite a few dates left also playing a few with Alpha Wolf check out the Event link Here for more info and tickets.\m/
