New single: Corrosive Sweden – Devil of Mine

Corrosive Sweden is a new band to me, I got them through our partners in Kingart Music. According to the press-release the band was formed as early as 1997 and have released a number of albums. The band is currently working on their new album. The first single this year (2020) is called “Devil of Mine” and was released October 2nd.

The sound of Corrosive Sweden has been described as a hybrid between old school thrash metal and melodic metal.

When I listen to the single I can’t help my self, I just have to stomp my feet and bang my head! I really like the start of it. But, then we come to the chorus and it gets a bit too Americanised with clean singing and super melodic! And for me, that’s too bad because I would really want this song to be a five, but I have to give it a three.

I know that there are a lot of people out there that would love this kind of music, but I really struggle with it. Saying that, I still think that this a pretty good song according to the genre.

I almost wish that someone else would do a review of this, someone that really loves this kind of metal, because it is beautifully produced and they are great musicians that really knows their stuff and I really want to love it.

So, to summon it all. It is a great song that will deliver a great album for sure, but it’s not my cup of tea.

And I really like the video!
