Crannk Reviews Agenda- Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues

Agenda is a band hailing out of Norway and a band that is really hard to pigeon hole into one genre with a sound that has been inspired and influenced by American Hardcore, Norweigan Black metal, and Swedish D-Beat. Agenda was formed by Hans Olaf (Avast, ex-NAG) and Trond (Avast). With a mission to create the heaviest and grittiest punk band in Norway. They initially recorded and released a four-track demo in early 2013, with Hans Olaf on bass and vocals, and Trond on guitar, drums, and vocals. Robin (Dödsstraff, ex-Töxik Death) joined on drums shortly after, before Håkon (Dödsstraff) completed the line-up as the band’s bass player.

In 2013, the band recorded their first full-length record Menneskehetens Massegrav, which was released on Negative Vibe Records in 2014, Agenda has also been on a few splits worth checking out through their bandcamp site (LINK). In August of 2019 Agenda returned with their sophmore album a doom inspired journey of despair and blues through the Apocalypse in the aptly named Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues which is an album that has mixed multiple influences to create a heavy as fk album that needs to be played loud to fully enjoy it. This is an album that can really appeal to both the hardcore punk fans and metalheads alike.

Agenda’s sophomore full-length record Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues was recorded and mixed by Ørjan Lund (Avast, NAG) at Tentakkel Audio and mastered by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) at Audiosiege. Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues is the soundtrack to the apocalypse so shut the world out while Agenda commits an all-out d-beat assault on your eardrums!
